Calls continue to mount for President Cyril Ramaphosa to pull out of an interview with businessman Given Mkhari this evening
Ramaphosa will be in conversation with PowerFM chairman Mkhari in the annually Chairman Conversation interview this evening.
However, the Soul City Insitute of Social Justice continues to call on Ramaphosa to abstain from being part of the interview.
This due to Mkhari’s previous history of domestic violence with his wife Ipeleng Mkhari.
Mkhari and his wife were involved in domestic violence last year, with reports that Mkhari physically assaulted his wife.
The Soul City Insitute of Social Justice, which aims to fight against abuse of women and children, has stated that Ramaphosa will send a wrong message by being part of this interview.
The organisation believes in the spirit of the 16 Days of Activism against no violence on women and children, Ramaphosa should drop out of this interview with Mkhari.
Mkhari apologised publicly for his actions and admitted that he and his wife have resolved the matter amicably.
