Police Pronounce Four Missing Takoradi Girls Dead

At a Press Conference on Monday, August 16, 2019, the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. James Oppong Boanuh confirmed the death of the four missing Takoradi girls.
According to him, the confirmation was informed by a test the Police conducted on some human remains that were retrieved from a skeptic tank in the vicinity of the suspected. He further stated that the DNA test they carried out points out that, the remains were that of the Missing Takoradi girls.
Although the families of the deceased are yet to issue an official statement on the issue, sources close to the family have it that, the family have expressed their utmost disappointment in the Police Service.
According to them, the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service toyed with their emotions as their Boss, Miss Tiwaa had earlier stated categorically that the Police know where these girls are.
The four Takoradi girls went missing mid last year and the key suspect, Samuel Udoetuk, a 28 years old Nigerian who was arrested in the Western region is still in police custody pending a court trial and prosecution.
