Another day, another example of Pedro Pascal making the internet a slightly nicer place to be — and this time, it’s with the help of his longtime bestie Oscar Isaac, with the stars being praised for representing “non-toxic masculinity.”

For reference, the two men first met when they starred alongside one another in an off-Broadway show back in 2005. They became fast friends, and in 2020, Oscar revealed that they initially bonded over their shared passions and frustrations as Latino actors.
“It’s gotten better, but at that point, it was so easy to be pigeonholed in very specific roles because we’re Latinos,” he told Variety at the time. “It’s like, how many gang member roles am I going to be sent?”
“The dream was to be able to pay rent,” Oscar said of him and Pedro during the early days of their friendship. “There wasn’t a strategy. We were just struggling. It was talking about how to do this thing that we both love but seems kind of insurmountable.”
Oscar and Pedro’s relationship continued to thrive amid their respective successes, with Oscar getting his big break in 2013 when he played the titular role in Inside Llewyn Davis, earning a Golden Globe nomination. Meanwhile, Pedro first entered mainstream consciousness the following year, when he starred as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones.
