In Avowed, you will come across several significant choices over the course of your playthrough. One of these is the option to send the people of Fior to Thirdborn or Paradis, which comes at the end of the Ancient Soil questline. It is not apparent which choice is correct at first, and there will be later consequences depending on which move the player makes.

Like other choices in Avowed, this seemingly innocuous choice might have consequences players didn’t intend or have the ability to foresee. This can feel a little frustrating, as they might want one thing or another to happen to the people based on the player’s experience with them or the type of character they are attempting to portray. Some of the choices may seem to not matter as much, and here the answer is more complicated than it seems.

Thirdborn may seem like the obvious choice, as everything players have seen so far would lead players to believe that the Animancers of Fior would be miserable in Paradis. Players will not yet have visited Dreamscourge, as it is the third place they will head on the journey to save people from the infection. At first, it will look like the people are well and peaceful and that they are rebuilding their old lives in Thirdborn.
