Oscar Sudi the MP of Kapsaret has been been airlifted to Nairobi as confirmed by the MP himself through his social media account.
On Sunday morning, the MP presented himself at the Kapsaret Sub-County police headquarters following 48-hours of standoff between and the police who wanted to arrested.
On Friday police checked into his Kapsaret house where they camped outside demanding the MP to come out.
The standoff went through to Saturday as angry residents blocked them from accessing his house after they were also blocked by Oscar Sudi’s security.
They however managed to climb through the fence and faced off the MP’s security before one officer was cut by a panga and another one shot on his left and right shoulder.
Gunshots rented the air only for the police to search for the MP but in vain as he had already left his house.
Electricity leading to his house was disconnected as his lawyer Glady Boss Sholei calling the police to come back during the day.
On Sunday morning he was in the company of his laywers led by Hon. Galdys Boss Sholei, Governor Stephen Sang, Jane Masai, Nathan Tororei and Hon Isaac Terer.
A police helicopter was at Eldoret airstrip to airlift the MP who will be charged before a court in Nairobi for hate speech.
