The news of Raila Odinga’s minor surgery on his back in Dubai has vindicated blogger Dennis Itumbi who first shared the information on June 22 but was hit out at.
In a series of tweets, Itumbi gave a blow by blow account of everything.
@RailaOdinga He flew to Abu Dhabi aboard a chartered flight. 5YPAA - Cessna 680 2. The flight took off from Wilson. 3. The Manifest, shows he was accompanied by the daughter, A renowned Neurosurgeon, a Personal Assistant and a bodyguard..,” his first tweet read.
He added more information in a series of tweets.
“He arrived at Wilson in a small car as a camouflage of his exit. 5. The recent Covid test that was highly publicized was to enable the travel. The results are attached to the manifest. Covid Results of all aboard are also attached.
“He flight costs, because he is a National Leader, were paid by you and me. 7. He is currently in Abu Dhabi. Why? Abu Dhabi has announced that starting tomorrow it will open up the airspace for international departures and arrivals.
“Secondly, Raila Odinga, on his Facebook page, told the Country he was in DRC, an outright Lie,” Itumbi stated.
However, Narok Senator Ledama Olekina was among ODM politicians who hit out at Itumbi.
“Nonsense why the hell are you lying to Kenyans? Please take a chill pill. @RailaOdinga is doing well and attending to his official duties wacha fitina boss!” Olekina said.
On Wednesday, June 24, Raila’s elder brother Dr Oburu Oginga confirmed that Raila flew to a German facility in Dubai for minor surgery on his back.
He also denied claims that Raila was flown to China to age-related cancer.
Now, Itumbi has since asked Olekina to apologize for dismissing him.
“Bro, @ledamalekina I think you owe me an apology, a HE GOAT would be fair settlement. Ama namna gani?”
In response, Olekina told Itumbi in a tweet with a caption of a He goat: “Hapo sawa! I am a Gentleman!”
