REVEALED: Inside Plot to Throw Tuju Out of the Ruling Jubilee Party
May. 18, 2020
Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has revealed an inside plan to kick Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju out of the ruling party.
The Nandi lawmaker in a video that emerged online, disclosed that a plan to oust Tuju from his position in the Jubilee was underway and in the 30 days he will be unseated.
“The Secretary-General in the next less than 30 days must vacate the office. We will use the law and other extra-legal means to ensure he vacates the office because Jubilee is given tax money,” Cherargei disclosed.
CCheragei further lamented about the taxpayers’ money and the monthly subscription fee rendered by the members being triggered by the party.
“I know now, they have planned to start disrupting the party, Jubilee Party has been receiving money. They have never called us to a National Delegates conference or Parliamentary National Executive Council to tell us what they have used our money for, ” Charargei lamented.
“We as Parliamentarians pay Ksh10,000 every month to sustain the operations of the party. But it is sad the subscription that we were paying is the same subscription of taxpayers money that they sat to eject our leaders in the Senate,” he added.
The lawmaker also noted that he was aware of the planned changes in the National Assembly leadership as it had happened at the Senate house earlier, noting that no amount of frustration would make them abandon the Deputy President William Ruto.
