‘Class again’ – Plenty of Everton fans join Fleetwood Town supporters with praise for loanee

Ten-man Fleetwood Town recorded an impressive away victory at high flying Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday evening.
Joey Barton’s men earned a third successive victory in a hard-fought game at Adams Park, to move them within just two points of the League One play-offs.
A single Paddy Madden goal was enough to see off Wycombe who had been given an advantage just seven minutes earlier when Fleetwood striker Ched Evans received a straight red card for an apparent elbow on Jason McCarthy.
Key to Fleetwood’s resolute performance was defender Lewis Gibson, who joined the club on loan from Everton in the January transfer window.
Since arriving at Highbury, Gibson has turned out three times for Barton’s side and played a huge part in Fleetwood maintaining their play-off push.
This morning, the 19-year-old took to Twitter to react to last night’s game, writing: “ What a win last night,” on his social media platform.
The 19-year-old was quickly filled with responses, mainly from fans of Premier League Everton, who seemed delighted their future prospect had put such a good shift in.
