Raila Breaks Silence on Miguna Saga
Jan. 10, 2020
ODM leader Raila Odinga has issued a response to the saga surrounding controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna's failed return.
The former premier was addressing Nyanza leaders at a Building Bridges Initiative function that was convened at Kisii Stadium on January 10, 2020.
According to a report by K24 Digital , Raila declared that Miguna was free to the country, dismissing allegations that he was behind the lawyer's woes.
The AU envoy affirmed that he was not scared, or rather, afraid of Miguna and urged him to stop the drama and theatrics.
"He is crying foul abroad. He should come and do it here. Nobody has a problem with Miguna. He should return, shouldn't he?" Raila stated.
"He is saying that I am afraid of him. I am not scared of him, I gave him a job. He also says President Uhuru is afraid of him. Uhuru does not fear anyone," he remarked.
Raila stated that the BBI advocated for inclusivity which also included Miguna. However, the ODM leader noted that the self-styled NRM leader's return was not Uhuru's responsibility rather but Interior CS Fred Matiang'i's.
"He will board a plane and come home. We want everybody, there is nobody who doesn't want Miguna to come. The BBI is about inclusivity," Raila remarked.
