Supremacy Battle: Sossion Declares War Against TSC

It has been termed as a love-hate relationship between the Teachers service Commission (TSC) and the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT). Daggers have once again been drawn.

At the center of a looming legal battle putting the TSC chief executive officer Nancy Macharia and KNUT secretary general Wilson Sossion at a risk of a collapse of a 50 years old recognition agreement between the two, threatening the existence of KNUT.
A day after the teachers service commission issued a two month notice to the Kenya National Union of Teacher's, KNUT, that it would revoke its recognition agreement; KNUT on Tuesday rejected the notice terming it as illegal and unconstitutional.
KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion has meanwhile, called for a meeting with the teacher's employer, to discuss pending issues, top of the agenda the collective bargaining agreement 2017-2022 which TSC is accused of failing to implement, despite a court order.
