Kiambu Deputy Governor, Dr James Nyoro, has reshuffled his Cabinet to improve service delivery in populous county.
The new development comes after he took over office from Governor Ferdinand Waititu, who is facing graft allegations.
Nyoro’s move has, however, elicited mixed reactions from different quarters. A resident of the county has since sued him following the changes in the government.
The resident identified as Bernard Chege Mburu accused Nyoro of going against the powers accorded to him by the constitution.
Mburu said the move is likely to cause chaos in the county since Nyoro is not fully in charge of the management of the affairs of the county.
“The illegal acts of the Deputy Governor will create a stalemate that will gravely affect service delivery to the people of Kiambu especially as one of the dockets affected is Finance, Chege said in suit papers.
Waititu, who is facing a Sh 538 million graft charges, is still fighting to resume office after he was arrested and charged over graft.
