Bayern Munich ‘annoyed’ at Liverpool and Manchester United over Thiago Alcantara pursuit and that star turned down four-year contract, talkSPORT told

Bayern Munich are ‘annoyed’ with Liverpool and Manchester United for not playing ball and meeting the German club’s asking price for the midfielder, talkSPORT has been told.
Former Bayern president Uli Hoeness made the headlines on Monday morning for his outspoken blast at the English giants, accusing them of ‘blackmail’ in their pursuit of Thiago.
The Spain international has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, who are favourites to sign him this summer but no deal has yet come to fruition, while Premier League rivals United are also said to be interested.
Hoeness has sensationally claimed it’s likely Thiago already has a deal agreed with either of the two English clubs, and has accused Liverpool and United of underhand tactics as they try to sign the 29-year-old for a cheaper fee later in the window.
“It is a difficult situation,” he told German outlet Sport1.
“A while ago we agreed on a new four-year contract. Some days later he said: ‘I’m looking for a new challenge’. Which is totally okay.
“I think he obviously has an agreement with Liverpool or Manchester United or both of them. Now both clubs are bluffing, and no one has contacted Bayern Munich officially.
“From my point of view, that has no style. They’re trying to blackmail us, by waiting until the last week, when they’re going to make a cheap offer.”
