INEC has confirmed Diri as governor of Bayelsa

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that the PDP is the winner of Bayelsa State in the south.
The president of INEC, Prof Mahmud Yakubu, confirmed this at a news conference held on Friday in the capital Abuja.
APC's David Lyon, a member of the ruling People's Congress (APC), was declared the winner of the APC by his deputy Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo who filed a petition against INEC when he contested. the November 16 election
Speaking, Prof Yakubu said Mr Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party had won the election, being the second-largest candidate in the November general election.
INEC said Mr Diri received 143,172 votes and got 25 percent of the eight constituencies.
