The player prop market is a hot one for bettors. While standard spread and total bets account for an entire game, individual props focus on specific matchups.
Here are five bets to consider for Week 5:
Jimmy Graham over 3.5 catches and over 35.5 yards
Graham 's production has been all over the place this season. After catching three of his five targets for 30 yards in the opener, he was only targeted twice over the next two weeks. Then, in Week 4 against the Eagles, he caught six of nine targets for 61 yards and a touchdown. This Sunday against the Cowboys, Graham could be a great buy-low candidate.
With Davante Adams ruled out, Graham should see a fair share of balls thrown his way. His target share went up incrementally last year without Adams and it's skyrocketed this season despite a small sample . The Cowboys have allowed opposing tight ends to catch 26 balls for an average of 60.5 yards per game this season. The numbers aren't quite there this year for Graham, but he's someone who has over written all over him on Sunday.
Carson Wentz over 1.5 touchdown passes
I'm willing to lay the chalk on Wentz 's touchdown passes against a Jets defense giving up close to 300 yards per game through the air this season. Wentz has been Pro Football Focus ' top quarterback through the first quarter of the campaign, and he has a chance to keep surging after throwing for three touchdowns in a win over the Packers last Thursday. He's thrown for multiple touchdowns in five of his last six starts and in six of his last seven starts at home. Against the Jets' defense, this one feels like a slam dunk.
Kyler Murray over 248.5 passing yards
Murray has shown some flashes as he gets accustomed to the pros. He's also played against some stiff competition, though Week 5 will be as easy as it gets against a Bengals defense allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete north of 70% of their passes. I don't love the Cardinals' offense as much as I would have if Christian Kirk was a go for this one, but I still love the over and think both quarterbacks will do whatever they want. Buy Murray in this spot and watch him turn it loose against a beat-up defense.
Gardner Minshew under 223.5 passing yards
Minshew 's a player I've been looking to fade at some point. This is probably the most ideal spot. He's been great since coming on in relief of an injured Nick Foles in Week 1, but I hate the matchup here against the Panthers' defense, which is quietly pacing the league in passing yards allowed per game this season at 156.8 - 25 yards fewer than that of the next-best defense.
