A lady who has been identified as Onyinyechi Abaruo is currently on the run after allegedly disfiguring the face of her friend over a dispute of N950 in Umuahia, Abia State.
According to sources close to them, On Friday, 28th November 2019, one miss Chikaodi Umeh (the victim) who is a friend to Onyinyechi Abaruo( the suspects) went out drinking with their mutual friend, Nene.
The suspects, Onyinyechi, later went to join them, but as she was arriving, the victim’s male friend who was then hosting them, was about to leave but the victim pleaded with him to give her some money to enable her to buy more drinks for Onyinyechi who just came in so the guy then gave Chikaodi the sum of N2000 and left.
The victim then went ahead to buy 5 more bottles of beer which amounted to N1,050 and was left with N950 which she decided to keep.
But the suspect demanded why the victim would keep the money to herself and that resulted in a dispute and later a fight between them
After the fight, the victim left but forgot her body lotion on one of the tables and had to call their other friend, Nene, to please help her bring the lotion to kano street, uzoakoli road, umuahia.
But whiles waiting for her lotion, the suspect stormed where she was standing on a tricycle and said “ this your fine face, I will disfigure it for you “ then she drew a sharp object and attacked the victim leaving her in a pool of blood
However, while waiting for Nene to arrive, Onyinyechi stormed the place in a tricycle and told her: “this your fine face, I will disfigure it for you.” Then she brought out a sharp object and attacked her, leaving in a pool of blood before fleeing in the tricycle.
An investigation into the case has since been launched.
