Premiere: UK Underground Club Legend Jerome Hill Liberates "The Wist" From Impending EP
Nov. 27, 2019
UK rave legend and former Kool FM host, Jerome Hill 's history in the music game is long and storied. Aside from a regular spot at the influential pirate radio station, much of Hill's time is spent running his three labels, Don't, Super Rhythm Trax and Fat Hop, but today he's making a return to the impeccable and ever-discerning Dext Recordings with his new EP, Eat The Evidence .
The song features for new originals — "Song For Aitch", "Lunacy Module", "Mob Rule" and "The Wist" — and we've got the latter right here for you. As you'd expect from someone who's essentially a walking encyclopedia of rave, "The Wist" is an invigorating and colourful piece of dance music that makes more than a few nods to UK clubbing history. Using samples and soundpacks that should be instantly familiar to ravers of the late '80s and early '90s, "The Wist" packs an astonishing amount of funk, soul and hands-in-the-air hedonism into just five-and-a-bit quick minutes.
