WELLINGTON, Ohio — Hollywood has arrived in Lorain County as crews for Liam Neeson's latest movie -- The Minuteman -- take over the Wellington community Thursday.
Wellington Music, a small shop on West Herrick Avenue, is closed all day because of the production. The store posted pictures on its Facebook page that show how their location, which is typically filled with guitars, has been transformed into a gun store.
"Could have sold many items today as many people assumed we were a new store," Wellington Music wrote . "Sorry but we had to explain that the items are not for sale and only here for the movie filming."
Wellington Music will reopen Friday.
The Wellington Police Department also posted about traffic, parking and pedestrian restrictions because of the film's production. As a result, officers will be stationed on West Herrick between Main and Depot streets from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday.
"There will be NO parking in that location between those hours," the department noted on Facebook . "Pedestrian traffic will also be maintained, when necessary, in that same location."
The movie, which is directed by Robert Lorenz, is described as follows : "A rancher on the Arizona border becomes the unlikely defender of a young Mexican boy desperately fleeing the cartel assassins who’ve pursued him into the U.S."
The film also stars Katheryn Winnick and Juan Pablo Raba .
Last week, movie crews were spotted filming scenes for The Minuteman in Cleveland, Parma and Portage County.
