King Charles Urged To Step Back From Royal Duties Amid Cancer Battle As Sources Say He Can't Function 'Unless He's Working': 'That's Very Exhausting'
Apr 8, 2025
King Charles was recently hospitalized due to “temporary side effects” from his ongoing cancer treatment, although he was discharged from The London Clinic later that same day. However, he hasn’t appeared to take it as a sign to slow down, and he has reportedly already resumed working!
As expected, those closest to him reportedly aren’t happy with his dedication to continue working, which echoes what an insider told GB News in November 2024. The insider claimed that Queen Camilla was very scared when her husband returned to work following his cancer treatment, telling the pub at the time: “She is understandably fearful her husband is rushing it. She just wants him to slow down and prioritize his health.”

King Charles Urged To Take A Step Back From Royal Duties Following Recent Hospitalization

When he was discharged from hospital earlier this month, the King, 76, seemingly followed doctors' orders and postponed his events that were slated for the following day. However, his work schedule went ahead as normal the day after!
"The trouble is, he's been so conditioned to work that I don't think he functions unless he's working," royal author Ingrid Seward told Newsweek.
"When he's not working, he's probably a bit all over the place, I know I'm like that," the My Mother and I author continued, adding: "He's always working and it's just not his nature to take an afternoon nap, which I'm sure Camilla is trying to make him do."
