Singer Hans Raj Hans’s wife, Resham Kaur, breathed her last on Wednesday, April 2, after battling a prolonged illness. She was admitted to a hospital in Jalandhar where she died at around 1 pm. Hans Raj Hans is grieving the loss of his beloved wife and to honour her memory and pray for her eternal peace, the family has organided a Bhog and Antim Ardaas ceremony on April 11, 2025. It will be held at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Jalandhar.

The family warmly invite friends, fans, and well-wishers to join them in remembering her life and legacy.

Earlier last year, Yuvraj Hans—son of Hans Raj Hans and Resham Kaur—had shared a touching tribute to his mother on Instagram. In a heartfelt note, he thanked her for her constant love and support, calling her the glue that held the family together. He also posted a lighthearted, goofy video of her.

Hans Raj Hans bid a deeply emotional goodbye to his wife, Resham Kaur, during her funeral. Holding back tears, he watched as their sons, Yuvraaj and Navraj Hans, carried her bier with heavy hearts. The ceremony was attended by several well-known faces from the music world, including singers Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai, who came to offer their condolences and pay their respects.

Known for his soulful voice and legendary collaborations with artists like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Hans Raj Hans hails from a family rooted in music. His son Navraj Hans has followed in his footsteps as a singer and actor, and is married to Ajit Kaur Mehndi, daughter of music icon Daler Mehndi.
