Andy Walker urges Brendan Rodgers to give Celtic star ‘more game time’ because ‘the league is won’
Apr 6, 2025
Brendan Rodgers has brought more success to Celtic.
It’s only a matter of time before Celtic are crowned champions of Scotland again, and the real celebrations can begin in Glasgow.
Over on the other side, Rangers can’t stop losing, and it is making it sweeter viewing for those in green and white colours.
On Sunday afternoon, Celtic take on St Johnstone in Perth as they look to put away the Premiership’s bottom-of-the-table club.
You just know that the usual suspects will start, and Rodgers won’t take this lightly, even though everybody knows what is around the corner.
That includes starting the man in-form Daizen Maeda, but Andy Walker would prefer the Celtic manager to go down a different road.
It wasn’t a surprise that Celtic paid big money for Idah last summer, given his successful loan spell the previous campaign.
But that huge price tag that was put on the 24-year-old’s head has provided mixed responses, as he currently sits on Celtic’s bench.
Walker told Go Radio that a 55th Premiehop title is here for Celtic, so he would like to see Idah provided with ‘more game time’ to see what this £9 million player can truly do.
“The league is won,” stated Walker. “I would be inclined to give Adam Idah some more game time.
“I know there is a big game coming up. Playing St Johnstone in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup, never mind the league game.
