The tragic event was first shared on social media by her husband, Akinbobola Folajimi, and has since sparked widespread outrage and sympathy.

According to Folajimi' s account, the couple visited a private hospital seeking emergency care for his wife, who was in labor. However, they were turned away because they couldn' t afford the required deposit. The hospital allegedly referred them to a general hospital in Epe, but unfortunately, Kemi didn' t survive the journey.

In a video shared online, Kemi is seen lying in the backseat of a car, visibly weak, as her husband tries to keep her conscious. He pleads with her to stay strong for their children, repeatedly calling her name and urging her to hold on.
