Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost just snagged a NYC penthouse — and for a massive bargain
Mar 31, 2025
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost just snagged a sprawling Manhattan penthouse for less than half its initial listing price.
The pair bought the six-bedroom Carnegie Hill home for $13 million this month, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The 6,000-square-foot residence sold for the same amount its previous owners, Craig and Deborah Cogut, paid for it in 2006. The pair had been trying to sell the home on and off since 2018, when it initially listed for $27.5 million.
The rather-discounted sale is yet another sign of waning buyer interest in paying top dollar for Manhattan’s once-coveted stock of pre-war co-ops, the Journal reported.
The Park Avenue palace boasts five terraces and eight balconies, according to the listing. The luxe interiors include six woodburning fireplaces, parquet floors and an oak-paneled library. The wing that hosts the kitchen, which features floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and two 132-bottle wine refrigerators, also houses a separate room for staff.
The primary bedroom, meanwhile, takes up the entire third floor.
The listing agents, Lauren Muss and Sabrina Saltiel of Douglas Elliman, declined The Post’s request for comment on the sale.
Hollywood A-lister Johansson, known for her work in the Marvel Franchise and films like “Lost in Translation” and “Her,” ranked as the world’s highest-paid actress in previous years. Johansson married SNL comedian and Staten Island Ferry owner Jost in 2020. The pair share two children.
