I Slept on Amazon's and Costco's Viral Sheets for a Year—THIS Set Is the Better Buy
Mar 12, 2025
As any health or wellness professional will surely agree, a
good night's sleep
is the gift that keeps on giving: From reduced risk of developing a cold to an improved mood come morning, there are a lot of benefits that come with a solid eight hours of bedrest. But while many people would say a soft-yet-supportive mattress or perfectly plush pillows are the secret to clocking eight (or more!) hours of rest, I'd argue that your bedding—specifically, your sheets—is just as important. After all, nobody wants to toss and turn on stiff, scratchy sheets. And, thanks to my Costco versus Amazon sheet set review, you can buy a great set for under $100.
Since I write about home decor for a living, I take my bedding very seriously. My linen closet is filled to the brim with high-end bedding brands and direct-to-consumer companies that offer high-quality bedding—for a price. In fact, most of these silky-smooth, buttery-soft sheets can cost well over $150 for a set. (Keep in mind I have a king-sized bed, so I'm always spending a lot more on my sets.) While I'm all for investing in high-quality wares, I'm also down to be a bougie on a budget.

As luck would have it, I found Kirkland's Signature 680 Thread Count Sheet Set during a routine trip to Costco and was amazed the entire set was sold for under $100. Even the king-sized bundle I needed goes for $90. That too-good-to-be-true price point reminded me a lot of Mellanni's Iconic Collection Bedding Sheet Set, an Amazon favorite with over 30K rave reviews on the site. Both are beloved and budget-friendly, but how do they compare?
