Kelsey Grammer's run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast isn't over yet. A new report claims the award-winning actor could reprise his role in one of the upcoming Avengers sequels despite rumors that his role will be recast.
According to Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman (via ComicBookMovie.com), Grammer will make another appearance as Beast in Doomsday or Secret Wars. After multiple conflicting reports about the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be attempting a new anti-spoiler strategy.
Grammer, who portrayed Beast in the X-Men franchise films The Last Stand and Days of Future Past, made his MCU debut as the superhuman scientist in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. The X-Men co-founder and student of Charles Xavier/Professor X appears in a post-credits scene during The Marvels, waking up Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in a mysterious hospital room after she fixed a hole in space-time and became stuck in a parallel universe. Beast's inclusion in the sequel jumpstarted the X-Men's gradual MCU integration, with Deadpool & Wolverine featuring several X-Men franchise faces such as Sabretooth (Tyler Mane) and Pyro (Aaron Stanford).
