How long is Split Fiction? All chapters & game length explained
Mar 6, 2025
Split Fiction is the newest game from the talented Hazelight Studios, the team behind It Takes Two, but just how long is this follow-up in comparison? Here’s how big the game really is.
Four years removed from Game of the Year winner It Takes Two, Hazelight is back with another absolute gem. Split Fiction earned a perfect score from us at Dexerto thanks to its endless creativity and bountiful innovation, but just how big is the game from start to finish?
With dozens of unique gameplay features and a wide range of shockingly diverse chapters to get through, not to mention all the Side Stories, Benches, and other Easter eggs to track down, there’s a great deal here to sink your teeth into.
Below is the full rundown on just how big Split Fiction is, especially in comparison to Hazelight’s previous work.
How long is Split Fiction?
Our playthrough of Split Fiction took us 12 hours to complete. Along the way, we stopped to smell the roses plenty of times, completing every single Side Story and finding all the hidden Benches.
The game has eight chapters all up, with a total of 85 levels across them – including the Side Stories. Some chapters are certainly longer than others, but given how rapidly the game changes pace, genre, and even graphical style, you’ll be kept on your toes all the way through.
