Coronation Street viewers are bracing themselves for a potential heart-wrenching plot twist. Following a shocking hit-and-run incident on Wednesday's episode, Daisy Midgeley and David Platt were left battling for their lives.
The horrific accident, orchestrated by David and his former cellmate Andy, was intended to stage David's death to protect himself and his family from the menacing Harvey Gaskell. However, Daisy, who is pregnant, got caught in the chaos and was struck by the vehicle despite David's efforts to save her.
As the episode unfolded, both Daisy and David were rushed to the hospital with their loved ones anxiously waiting by their sides. David's condition remained precarious, and by the end of the episode, he was still in a coma.
Meanwhile, concerns mounted for Daisy and her unborn baby. Her partner, Daniel Osbourne, received news that Daisy required surgery to repair her injured arm.
Upon arrival at the hospital, a baby scan initially suggested that everything seemed fine. However, after the procedure, a nurse delivered distressing news to Daniel: Daisy had experienced bleeding, and there was a possibility that she might have lost her baby, reports the Mirror.
