HTC Viverse Is a Surprisingly Powerful and Easy Way to Build, Share 3D Worlds
Mar 5, 2025
BARCELONA—HTC Vive wants everyone to get into 3D. By introducing creator tools that remove virtually every barrier to entry, you can join its Viverse, which is essentially the YouTube of 3D worlds. We tested it out at MWC and were thoroughly impressed.
What Is Viverse?
Viverse is a web-based platform on which you can create interactive 3D worlds by importing objects into a virtual space. You don't have to download or install anything, and you don't require any coding knowledge. In the interest of time, we explored a prebuilt world rather than creating our own from scratch.

Hitting the Edit button allowed us to add, remove, import, or delete objects. Using simple click-and-drag gestures, you can also resize, move, and rotate objects. I tested it by adding a sword and a jet engine, resizing, rotating, and moving them around the space.

There was no buffering or lag when manipulating objects—everything responded instantly. It took just a few seconds to grasp the controls, and customizing the world quickly became fun (and a little addictive).
AI-Powered 3D Creation
Viverse supports a wide range of 3D file types and can even convert 2D images into 3D objects using AI to flesh out the item. You can create a room by uploading several photos or videos, and Viverse automatically reconstructs it in stunning detail.
