T-Life App Falls Short: eSIM Transfers Force Reliance on Customer Service
Mar 1, 2025
Despite promoting its app as a self-service tool, T-Mobile's T-Life app lacks the functionality to transfer eSIMs between different phone operating systems, forcing users to contact customer service. This creates a frustrating experience for users who need to switch devices or use different operating systems.
When it comes to a simple task like moving your eSIM between different phone operating systems, the company promotes its app as a way for customers to handle many of their own service needs. However, if you try to transfer an eSIM from an iPhone to an Android device, or vice versa, you'll find yourself stuck. There's no option to generate a QR code for the transfer within the app. Instead, you're forced to contact a customer service representative, which can be time-consuming.
