Demi Moore has opened up about her wedding to Bruce Willis , describing it as "overwhelming" and ending in a "dramatic fight".

The actress revealed that the Die Hard star proposed during a trip to Las Vegas in November 1987. Despite initially thinking he was joking, they spontaneously got married at the Golden Nugget.

In her 2019 memoir Inside Out, Moore shared that they decided to have a "real wedding" a month later. As Willis was on the brink of stardom, they were given a soundstage on the Warner Bros. lot for the ceremony, even borrowing a staircase from Designing Woman.

Another soundstage was transformed into the Copacabana for the reception. However, Moore admits that family drama overshadowed what should have been a joyous occasion, reports the Express US .

She wrote: "It should have been a blast, one of the great, shining days of my life. But in truth it was overwhelming.

"Both of Bruce's parents came - the first time they'd been in the same room since they'd divorced - George and DeAnna [Moore's aunt and uncle] were there, of course, and my grandmother flew in from New Mexico with her beau Harold. My mom came, too, for better or for worse."
