New images show the old Busseys' building on Yaxham Road in Dereham being torn down as plans to build a Lidl supermarket there gather pace.

Adam Knopp, who photographed the demolition site, is glad to see investment in Dereham.

He said: "I'm happy Dereham is not just a town of closing shops and banks.

"In the last few months I can see three new ventures, two of which are up and running.

"A little more investment in the town centre, which looks a bit tired, though would be appreciated.

"As for traffic, I'd rather a busy town with the right investment than one on its knees and becoming a poor, ghost town."

Dereham has been anticipating the new store after plans for it were approved last year.

The store will be half a mile from where the current Lidl is on Kingston Road.
