90s rock legend shockingly reveals he ‘hasn’t spoken to’ bandmates in 5 years
Feb 24, 2025
Founding bassist of the iconic band Korn, Fieldy, has surprised fans by revealing he hasn’t spoken to his bandmates since 2019.
Fieldy (real name Reginald Arvizu) first announced he would be taking a break from the band in 2021, telling fans he wouldn’t be on tour because he was: ‘Dealing with some personal issues that at times have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me.’
Despite the long hiatus from the hard rock band – comprised of Jonathan Davis (vocals), James ‘Munky’ Shaffer (guitars), Brian ‘Head’ Welch (guitars), and Ray Luzier (drums) – fans have long expected Fieldy to return to the band, until now.
The bassist revealed in a recent interview that he hasn’t spoken to his bandmates during his long break from the nu-metal group.
He said: ‘I haven’t talked to those guys since 2019. So it’s like we’re just kind of both…. They’re truckin’. They’re a machine. They’re going. It’s insane. It’s dope that they can keep on going like that.’
He explained in the recent interview with the Basement Talkpodcast that there isn’t necessarily any bad blood between him and the band, saying: ‘Yeah. It’s cool to see them keep on going. I’m, like, I need to chill. I’m just kickin’ it.’
However, fans have reacted to the news with dissapointment, fearful the rift between Fieldy and the band means he won’t be returning anytime soon.
