MrBeast reveals he still wants a League of Legends team and would even sign Faker
Feb 22, 2025
The world’s most famous content creator, MrBeast, still has plans to purchase a professional League of Legends team as part of the League Championship Series (LCS) in the United States.
Speaking on Dexerto’s new Clickbaited show, he even outlined his dream of winning Worlds.
League of Legends remains a juggernaut in esports, as one of the most-watched games. Although the LCS has been around for over a decade, the tournament is still fierce and viewership remains strong despite a downward trend lately.
The game itself attracts tens of millions of players a month, and what better way to convert them into esports fans than to get one of the biggest influencers involved? That’s what MrBeast has long been planning, expressing his interest in joining the LCS as early as 2022.
We asked Donaldson about his intentions and if it’s still in the cards. Not only is MrBeast still eager to enter the LCS, but he even has ambitions of winning Worlds.

“I love League of Legends,” MrBeast reaffirmed in the first episode of our new Clickbaited interview series. When he was a teenager, beyond aspiring to be a content creator, he also dreamed of turning pro in LoL.
“I used to look up to Faker and all the top pro players,” he told us. “I would watch the f*** out of League every year, it was one of the few things I related to other people with. Some of my friends in middle school played League and we’d talk about it at lunch.”
