Severance season 2 episode 5 analysed from Grakappan to Cold Harbor
Feb 15, 2025

Fans had many questions after watching the latest instalment

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Severance season 2, episode 5 - Trojan Horse
After last week’s brief ORTBO adventure, the MDR team were back in the sterile offices of Lumon. Trojan Horse dealt with the fallout of Woe’s Hollow with Irving (played by John Turturro) being retired and Helly (Britt Lower) finally making it back to the Severed Floor after her Outie Helena attempted to infiltrate the team and shut down any more OTCs or similar operations.
The episode threw up plenty of questions as a recently reintegrated Mark (Adam Scott) grew frustrated with failing to remember things and distrusting the recently returned Helly. Here’s a look at some of the big questions from the episode.
Who was the Faceless Man at the start?
Right at the beginning of Trojan Horse, a faceless man collected a painting from O&R before heading down the black corridor and down the elevator to the testing floor.
His face was purposely obscured which suggested the man could be someone viewers may have already seen before.
Some took to Reddit to suggest the man was a clone of Petey (Yul Vazquez).
One fan wrote: “Interesting I was wondering who it is too but what if it’s just Petey? They did recover his body.”
Another said: “I think there’s some clue in the whistling but I can’t tell what that is.”
