After an explosive league phase journey, Barcelona now await their fate in the Round of 16, considered one of the top title contenders in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League.

New boss Hansi Flick has done well to balance a delicate financial situation at the club with a number of key signings and improved individual performances. A return of peak Robert Lewandowski and a Ballon d'Or season from Raphinha led the Catalan giants to an impressive second-place finish in the league phase standings.

Flick won the Champions League as Bayern Munich boss back in 2020, however, Barcelona have not been beyond the quarterfinal stage since 2019 with their last title win in 2015.

Barcelona will be pushing to improve that record, as part of UEFA's new and expanded tournament, now waiting patiently for their Round of 16 performance.
