Projected weather maps indicate an increasing likelihood that only around 12 counties in England might escape a snowy Valentine's Day. On February 14, parts of the UK might need to brace for wintry weather as forecasted by WX Charts, which utilise Met Desk modelling.

Snow looks set to hit Wales and Northern Ireland before spreading eastward with the East Midlands likely to see 5cm of snowfall. The flurry is expected to affect northern England and Scotland too.

However, it appears that East Anglia and southern England will be spared from the frosty blanketing, including counties like Berkshire, Bucks, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Wiltshire. The thickest layer of snow is set to envelop the Scottish Highlands with predictions of up to 9cm.

The Pennines may anticipate about 8cm, while North Wales could receive around 5cm. Netweather TV has offered insights for the approaching week, stating in a blog post: "A Scandinavian blocking high is looking set to be more persistent than I previously envisaged, often ridging over and to the north of Britain, which means that we won't see the rapid return of low pressure systems off the North Atlantic."
