Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is set to begin a new role as Red Bull's new 'Global Head of Soccer'
Jurgen Klopp has now officially begun his new job as Red Bull's 'Global Head of Soccer', a little over seven months after leaving his role as Liverpool manager.
The German guided the Reds to several major honours during his nine years at Anfield, including the Premier League and Champions League. He also won the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup and two Carabao Cup trophies.
In January last year, Klopp dropped the bombshell announcement he would depart the club at the end of the 2023/24 season, citing the fact he was running out of energy as a key reason for his decision. Liverpool ultimately fell short in the Premier League title race last term, but Klopp did end his time at Anfield with a trophy in the form of the Carabao Cup.
After an extended break, it was announced in October that Klopp would return to football in the New Year. However, it is not in the dug out as he takes on a senior role with Red Bull.
Also in October, Klopp was announced as a new brand ambassador for travel company Trivago. The ex-Liverpool boss is the face of the global hotel search platform's latest marketing campaign with the most recent advert released only last week.
Among Klopp's other endorsement deals is big names such as Erdinger, Adidas and Opel. The financial publication Sport previously revealed that Klopp's yearly take-home pay during his time at Anfield was an impressive £18.5m.
