If you want a great fitness watch, and you’re not attached to the Garmin brand, you’ll probably find yourself eyeing the watches from its competitor, Coros. As you may recall, the Coros Pace 3 held its own against the Forerunner 265 in my recent comparison. And now Coros has a Pace Pro, which brings upgrades like a bigger, brighter screen—and built-in maps.

Size and comfort

Before we get into the features, it’s important to know each watch only comes in one size, and the Pace Pro is bigger. As I discussed when comparing Garmin’s 265 to the 265S, a good fit will get you the best accuracy, so it's worth considering the size alongside the aesthetics. That said, both watches are in a size range that will fit most people. I have 6-inch wrists and found the Pace 3 more comfortable, but the Pace Pro was still fine.
Pace 3 watch size: 42 millimeters
Pace Pro watch size: 46 millimeters
Pace 3 display size: 1.2 inches
Pace Pro display size: 1.3 inches
Pace 3 watch band length: Standard length is 135 millimeters (5.31 inches) - 205 millimeters (8.071 inches) / Long length is  150 millimeters (5.91 inches) - 235 millimeters (9.25 inches)
