The 25p mince pies shoppers say are better than any box from Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury's

Readers gave them so much praise, we had to see what all the fuss is about
You can't walk in any supermarket without coming across a Jenga-style pile of mince pie boxes at this time of year.
With so many varieties on offer these days, there are so many flavours and toppings to choose from, it can be tricky to find just the traditional kind.
But we tracked them down and completed a blind taste test of the cheapest standard mince pies in each supermarket, including Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury's.
It was Tesco's Merry Mince Pies, priced at £1.25 a box, that took the winning spot - the 'flavours from the rich fruit mixed with its buttery pastry and just the right amount of sugar on top' declared 'a winning combination'.
But when we shared our results on Facebook, more than 2,000 readers responded, many of them giving their own opinions on their favourite pies.
And there was one pack in particular that was lavished with praise and that was the Morrisons Shortcrust Mince Pies from the supermarket's bakery.
Louise Mellors was the first to mention the pies, saying: "Or better still buy Morrisons bakery mince pies they're the shallow one's at £1.50 for 6 and honestly taste as good as homemade."
Her comment was liked by almost 200 readers, many of whom agreed with Louise, including Amanda Hobson, who said: "100% agree, they’re delicious with Greggs coming in 2nd place," and Samantha Stevenson, who said: "They are the nicest mince pies from any of supermarkets."
