Pastor Sylvester Ofori, originally from Ghana, will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of first- degree murder by a U. S. court. On the day of the murder, Barbara Tommey, 27, was simply going about her day when her husband, Sylvester Ofori, confronted her outside the credit union where she worked. Without warning, he fired multiple shots, taking her life in a matter of seconds. The incident was witnessed by several people, leaving them horrified and in disbelief.

Sylvester was quickly apprehended by law enforcement and taken into custody at the Orange County Jail. The Orlando Police Department confirmed his arrest through a public announcement on social media, ensuring the community that justice would be sought for Barbara' s untimely death.
