A 42-year-old woman have reportedly died after spending the night with her brother-in-law in Kenya.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Sibwa developed a severe cough while in a guest room that she had booked herself into with her brother-in-law.
“At around 6am (Thursday, September 24), Jesica developed (health) complications, and started coughing and vomiting. Mareko hailed a taxi, which took Jessica to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she was pronounced dead on arrival,” says an 8:13pm police report filed at the KNH police post under OB Number 97/24/9/2020.
Police are holding Mareko in lawful custody as investigations into the death of his sister-in-law continue.
Sibwa’s body was moved to the KNH mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Meanwhile,a 15-year-old girl have allegedly stabbed  her 19-year-old boyfriend to death  over cheating claims at Southlands slum in Lang’ata, Nairobi.
According to reports, the Class Six pupil, stabbed her boyfriend, a Form Two student, in the chest two times following a relationship wrangle.
Explaining her side of the story, the suspect said her 19-year-old was cheating on her with another teenage girl in the neighbourhood.
The suspect told police that during the argument, her boyfriend surged forward to hit her, forcing her to defend herself.
“It was at that point that she picked a kitchen knife and stabbed him two times in the chest, leaving him bleeding profusely,” said Mutiso, adding: “That is what she claims happened. However, we are still investigating the matter to ascertain the genesis of the fatal fight.”
After being attacked with the weapon, the 19-year-old boy screamed for help attracted the Neighbours, who rushed to the scene, took the victim to St. Mary’s Mission Hospital in Lang’ata, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Neighbours said that the two teenagers had been in a relationship “for a while”, and that they (teenagers) often visited each other.
“The suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon and taken to Lang’ata Police Station, where she is being held in lawful custody,” said Mutiso, adding: “We’ll take her to court tomorrow (Friday, September 25) and request for more time to detain her as we complete investigations into the boy’s death.”
