Two female nurses, one other arrested for stealing baby in Katsina

The Police in Katsina state has arrested two nurses for alleged trafficking of a new born baby girl. SP Gambo Isah, the state command’s spokesperson disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in katsina. Isah said on 28/07/2020 based on a tip off, the Command succeeded in arresting three female suspects who conspired and sold away a newly born baby girl. “On 25/07/2020, at about 10:00hrs, one Shamsiya Sani, aged 25yrs of Dandagoro Quarters, Katsina was delivered of a baby girl at Okomos Clinic, Kofar Kaura Quarters, Katsina”. “She later abandoned the child at the hospital with a hand written note stating that it was born out of wedlock hence the abandonment”. However he said two nurses of a private hospital, Misira S. Tijjani, aged 35yrs of Filin Canada Quarters, Katsina and Grace Ejigu, aged 43yrs of Shagari Low Cost, Katsina conspired and sold the child to one Eucharia Onyema, aged 45yrs of Sabuwar Kasuwa Quarters, Katsina. He added that, nemesis caught up with them when they were arrested on their way from the hospital to their houses with the child through the help of a Keke Napep rider who suspected them of stealing of the child.
