Oyo Deputy Governor: I Have No Grudges Against Ajimobi's Wife, She Has Called And We Have Settled

Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Rauf Olaniyan on Saturday revealed that he had no grudges against the wife of the immediate past governor of the state, Mr. Abiola Ajimobi who passed away not long ago.
While receiving the South - West Group of Online Publishers that paid him a Sallah visit, Olaniyan, deputy to Governor Seyi Makinde stated that he was not angry with the late governor's widow, Florence Ajimobi over the treatment meted out to him during the burial of the ex governor.
He also stated that Florence Ajimobi had since called him and everything has been settled.
Recall that the Deputy Governor of Oyo state had on June 29, led other functionaries to commiserate with the family of the deceased, but was accused of not sending messages or calling during the illness of the ex governor by his widow.
When Olaniyan explained that he called the widow but she did not pick the call, she stated that she was a politician's wife and does not pick calls from numbers she does not know. She also explained that he should have called.
Moreover, on July 5, the Deputy Governor was prevented from entering the venue of eighth day Islamic ‘Fidau’ prayer for the ex governor of the pacesetter state, when the gate of the residence was not opened for him till he left the venue.
He had gone to the Fidau prayer with a delegation from the state government.
Abiola Ajimobi was Oyo State governor for two terms of eight years under the All Progressive Congress (APC), but failed in his bid to go to the senate after his tenure. His party also failed to win the gubernatorial election in Oyo State, as his successor is from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
