A Nigerian woman called Chika Anthonia Voghor, who waited 18 years to have children, has died three days after she delivered a set of twins.
Nigerian Tribune reported that the late woman and her husband Ediri got married in 2002 but didn't take in. Like many young couples, they visited several hospitals where they were told that nothing was wrong with them.
The couple went in search of solutions at other places but they did not get any. However, things changed for the Voghor couples in 2019 when it was discovered that Chika had taken in.
In June, the late woman delivered a set of twins (boy and girl) through a cesarean section. The woman was said to be happy and full of life as she returned home with her bundles of joy.
However, tragedy struck some hours after she returned home as she started complaining about her inability to breathe well. When a doctor came in to check her, it was realised that her blood level was low.
Blood transfusion was carried out and was taken back to the theatre room after a scan revealed she had internal bleeding. A surgery was carried out on her and returned back to her room.
But hours later, she was taken back to the theatre where she eventually gave up the ghost.
Earlier on TUKO.co.ke reported the story of a woman who passed away hours after welcoming triplets .
According to a Twitter user identified as Sarki Suleiman, his aunt was married for nine years without any children of her own.
