The Leader and Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, former President John Dramani Mahama has thrown jabs at astute lawyer and nephew of the President, Gabby Otchere-Darko for criticising an advertisement posted by an NDC footsoldier.
Gabby posted a flier which sought to ask Ghanaians to vote for the former president to replace the incumbent, President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.

He took to Twitter to criticise the publicity team of the NDC for lacking understanding on what the advertisement intended to communicate.
“Clearly incompetence can be both chronic & incurable, transcending electoral cycles. How can any serious alternative govt promise to rescue democracy from financial sector, health sector and agric sector? What will be left? Whoever is leading NDC campaign publicity doesn’t get it,” Gabby tweeted.

The former President responded to the lawyer in a tweet, calling his attacks a “psychosis” that has led him to an “unrestrained obsession” with the NDC. He said the advertisement is not from the NDC campaign team nor the flagbearer but from an enthusiastic supporter of his.
“Clearly some psychosis can lead to unrestrained obsession. The ad referred to is not official & it’s obvious to all. Besides, I thought our ‘PM’ would be busy with weightier matters of state than an amateur ad put out by an overly enthusiastic supporter of our party,” Mahama’s tweet read.
