Automatic employment for graduates after NYSC: Bill gets forwarded to the House of Representatives

A bill which asks for the automatic employment of graduates after completion of their NYSC programme has been forwarded to the House of Representatives.
The bill The bill which had scaled through first reading on the 20th of February seeks to amend the NYSC Act to enable the military and paramilitary agencies as well as other special services recruit willing graduates as soon as they complete the 12-months youth service programme.
The sponsor of the bill was identified to be Eta Mbora, a federal lawmaker in the House of Representatives. He represents Calabar Munincipal/Odukpani federal constituency of Cross River state.
In an interview with The Cable, the sponsor of the bill said if the bill gets legislated, the unemployment problem faced by the country will be resolved.
The PDP lawmaker added that the bill will allow graduates who have completed their NYSC programme and meet the requirements of agencies to get employed.
I think this is a good gesture from the law maker. I pray the bill gets passed and legislated anytime soon.
