Juventus Manager Makes Ramsey Admission Amid Exit Rumours
Feb. 13, 2020
Juventus head coach Maurizio Sarri has admitted midfielder Aaron Ramsey has endured a difficult start to his career in Italy. Ramsey left Arsenal in the summer and signed for Juventus, ending his 11-year stay with the north London side. Having run his contract at the Emirates, the Wales international joined the Italian giants on a free transfer. Earlier in the week, reports from Tuttosport suggested that Juventus are keen to offload the former Arsenal man as they don't see him as an important player. However, Sarri believes the 29-year-old is growing in confidence.
"Aaron Ramsey is growing both as a condition and a belief. It was not easy for him to adapt, coming from the Premier and from a bad injury," he said ahead of Thursday’s Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan.Ramsey played 20 minutes over the weekend against Verona as his side slipped to a second defeat in three matches which saw Inter Milan leapfrog them at the top of the table after their remarkable comeback win in the Milan derby.
