Nowadays, many people will choose to keep pets. But we must take safety into consideration. In France, a man fell off his ladder and was killed by five pet dogs in his family.
A 69 year old man (unnamed) from the town of Aquiville, Calvados Province in Normandy, northwest France, fell from a ladder to the ground at about 6 p.m. on February 7, when it was raining heavily. Later, the old man was bitten by five of his family's Rottweiler dogs and died.
According to reports, when the old man fell from the ladder and was bitten by his dog, his wife immediately called the police. At about 8:45 p.m., the rescue workers arrived at the scene, but because the dogs were too fierce, the rescue work was difficult. So, rescue workers temporarily transferred a team to deal with such incidents, but they also failed to control these Rottweilers. Later, they chose to shoot and kill three of the five most aggressive dogs, and the other two were brought back to the house by the old man's wife.
"She (the old man's wife) was completely stunned when she was taken to the hospital and has been in a state of 'shock' but not injured," the old man's neighbour said in a media interview
"The dogs caused serious damage to the old man's face and almost all of his face was bitten off," a police spokesman said
The old man was immediately taken to the hospital, but it was too late and an autopsy was being carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
