(Meredith) -- Shaun Weiss, the actor who played hockey goalie Greg Goldberg in "The Mighty Ducks" films, has been arrested after allegedly committing a burglary and for being under the influence of methamphetamine.
According to USA Today , a homeowner in a small city outside of Sacramento called police after seeing "an unknown male inside his garage that did not belong there."
Actor Shaun Weiss was charged with petty theft and violating probation after getting caught shoplifting from a Rite Aid store.
When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found Weiss inside a parked car in the garage on Saturday, January 25. Officers said Weiss was going through the homeowner's car. Weiss got inside the car by allegedly smashing the window.
Weiss said he has decided to try to "break free from the self-destructive patterns of behavior and drug abuse that have landed me at rock bottom."
The 41-year-old "displayed symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamine" and said that the vehicle he was going through "was not his," the police department said in a post on their Facebook page.
Actor Shaun Weiss was arrested for public intoxication north of Sacramento, California Saturday. Weiss is most known for playing Goldberg, the young hockey team's goalie, in the 1992 film 'The Mighty Ducks'.
This is not the first time Weiss has been arrested. He was charged with shoplifting in November 2018 and also declared he was going to rehab in October 2018.
