The head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Ali Abedzadeh told semiofficial media Mehr News Agency that so far there was no evidence of "technical problem" that brought down the airliner, according to NYT.
Journalists all around the world have come to the crash site for an in-depth report as the Iranian authorities had repeatedly denied Western accusations that its armed forces were responsible.
Citing Associated Press report, the statement carried by state media said the plane was mistaken identified as a “hostile target” after it turned toward a “sensitive military center” of the Revolutionary Guard.
The military was at its “highest level of readiness,”amid the heightened tensions with US.
At press time, no solid evidence could support Iran's excuse. Mainstream media are carrying independent verification to justify the case.

Foreign minister of Iran, Mr. Javad Zarif has expressed his condolence to the victims on Twitter, yet he suggests that it is the "US Adventurism" that caused the crisis which led to the subsequent disaster.
