Westbound I-10 reopened in west Phoenix after crash, fuel spill

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5)-- A crash and fuel spill caused huge delays for the Friday morning commute on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the crash happened on westbound I-10 near 51st Avenue before 7 a.m.
DPS said the crash was caused by a tire on the roadway. Several vehicles then struck the tire causing them to crash. DPS added that a truck driver also struck the debris and puncture his gas tank spilling fuel on the road.
Video from Arizona's Family news chopper showed the fuel spill on the freeway.
DPS said the freeway was closed to clean up the spill. It has since reopened.
Injuries were not reported.
